1.  Can Tokio Hotel make history as the first band to repeat as MMM champs?

After some technical difficulties, MMM's Final Four is set — and voting is underway!

Well, it wasn't easy ... but after a tsunami of votes so huge it crushed our third-party polling service — and a resulting four hours of technical difficulties that made us want to shatter our leg like Kevin Ware — MTV's Musical March Madness tournament is moving on to the Final Four!

Defending MMM champs Tokio Hotel, upstart Ed Sheeran, perennial powerhouses Thirty Seconds To Mars and Cinderella story Walk The Moon are the last four bands standing ... and one of them is going to hoist the big gold trophy next week. Who will advance to the 2013 championship game? Well, that's up to you: voting is now open in our Final Four matchups, and polls will close on Monday, April 8 at noon ET.

So, for the Final Four and the MMM Championship, we're going to be using our own polling software ... and we're gonna be watching the votes to make sure there's no cheating (settle down Aliens, we've got you). So let's get back to the business at hand: Four bands are left in our 2013 tournament, and one of them is going to win it all.
Can Tokio Hotel make history as the first band to repeat as MMM champs? They'll have to get past upset-minded Ed Sheeran to do so ... and let's just say Ed's not sweating this one (shoot, he's never even heard of his Final Four opponents).

We'll be bringing you in-depth analysis of those matchups over the weekend ... right now, let the games begin! We're so close to the championship, and you'll determine who reigns supreme as the baddest band in the land. Forget about technical difficulties ... It's Final Four time!

mtv.com: Tokio Hotel And Ed Sheeran Battle It Out In March Madness' Final Four
MTV's Musical March Madness has reached the Final Four ... and voting is open in our matchups!

After some technical difficulties — and more than a few fan freakouts — MTV's Musical March Madness has made it to the Final Four!

Yes, what began with 64 bands battling their way through the bracket has come down to this: four acts — Tokio Hotel, Ed Sheeran, Thirty Seconds To Mars and Walk The Moon — all competing for the same singular goal: the Musical March Madness championship (and the very nice, very big gold trophy that comes along with it). After three weeks and 30 million votes ... the title is perilously close; and a loss now would hurt so bad.

Our first Final Four matchup pits defending MMM champs Tokio Hotel against upstart Ed Sheeran ... and even if there wasn't already a copious amount of pre-match trash talk in play, this one would be epic.

After all, Tokio Hotel entered the tournament promising fans a new album if they won ... and, after an opening-round scare against My Bloody Valentine (hi, 4Chan!), TH has kicked it into high gear, dispensing of Japandroids, the Strokes and Florence and the Machine with ease. Sure, you could bring up the fact that they've yet to be truly tested — of all the Final Four bands, they've unquestionably had the easiest route to this point — but history will show that Tokio is one band that truly rises to the occasion come tournament time. They've been to the top of the mountain once before, and we wouldn't bet against a repeat performance, especially given their fanatical fanbase.

Then again, we wouldn't overlook Ed Sheeran, either. This is his first time in the MMM tournament, but he's played like a total pro, handling tourney-tested bands like Muse, Evanescence and Paramore to make it to the Final Four. The fact that his Sheerios have supported him every step of the way — and the swagger he's displayed throughout — means he'll pose a formidable challenge to Tokio Hotel. But can he do what no band has been able to do since 2011, and actually eliminate them from the tournament? It'll be up to you to decide!

MTV's Musical March Madness tournament reaches the Final Four! Voting is now open in all matchups and polls close Monday, April 8 at noon ET, at which point we'll head to the MMM Championship Game. All winners are determined by your votes, so if your favorite act made the cut, it'll be up to you to guide them to glory! You can spread the word on Twitter using the hashtag #MMM — but get ready, it's gonna be a war.

3.Musical March Madness Final Four Relaunches Monday
Final Four voting opens Monday at 2 p.m. ET — and this time, there won't be cheating.

Okay ... remember last week, when, after an avalanche of technical difficulties and more hair pulling than a Jerry Springer marathon, MTV's Musical March Madness moved to the Final Four?

Yeah, forget that ever happened.

Musical March Madness 2013: The Final Four!

Because, for the first time in MMM history, we're wiping the slate clean, and re-starting the Final Four voting. And pushing our championship matchup back to Wednesday. Why? Well, as fans of Tokio Hotel, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Walk The Moon and Ed Sheeran have pointed out to us (many, many times, in many, many ways), things got a little out of hand this weekend, with nefarious ne'er-do-wells overrunning our polls with scripts, essentially turning this thing into a battle to see who could cheat hardest.

The same thing happened in the first round of the tournament, and we responded by adding Captcha software to the polls. That worked fine and dandy until the Elite 8 last week, when the third-party polling site we were working with decided to spontaneously combust (or something ... we still haven't heard from them), causing voting to crap out. We tried to ride it out in the Final Four using MTV's internal polling software, but, well, you can see how well that worked.

So, we've contracted another polling service to help us out. We'll be using Captchas once again, which means voting will be secure. And they've promised they won't crash on us in the middle of MMM voting (always a bonus). In the interest of fairness, we're tossing all the previous Final Four votes out the window. Think of it as a practice run or something ...because things are about to get real (for real this time).

Final Four voting will begin Monday at 2 p.m. ET, and polls will stay open until Wednesday, April 10 at noon ET. From there, we'll move to our 2013 title Game, and on Friday, April 12, we'll officially crown this year's MMM Champion!

So, get ready to vote in our epic Final Four matchups — Tokio Hotel vs. Ed Sheeran and Thirty Seconds To Mars vs. Walk The Moon — and thanks for all our patience while we sorted this whole mess up. But, hey, we're back on track, and we're gearing up for the sprint to the 2013 MMM Championship. May the most dedicated fanbase win. One thing's for sure, this is one tournament we'll never forget.
