Bill and Tom Kaulitz moved to Los Angeles in
order to have some privacy. The two Tokio Hotel musicians left Germany
two years ago because they wanted to retreat from the spotlight.
"We have now tried two years, quite consistently, to hide. We wanted a place where we can withdraw to have some privacy. We feel comfortable in LA, live together with our four dogs." said Bill for BILD Magazine.
"We were just five years on the road non-stop, and had no more retreat. We really had the feeling that we have no home anymore - it was eventually not important where we sleep. Eventually it got to the point where it was a bit too much and then we thought about it: Where can we ever go? and above all, we also wanted a place where we can finally be creative." adds his brother Tom.
At home, the two are surrounded by their family. "Of course, our roots are in Germany, it always will be the feeling of home." says Bill. "But Tom and I can settle down anywhere fast."
However, the two are back in Germany "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" and with Dieter Bohlen and Culcha Candela singer Itchy are searching for new talent. "We haven’t met Dieter before, but have been looking forward to do with him the anniversary season of DSDS." said Bill. "We got along really well right away and have a lot of fun."
