At the height of their career, the band "Tokio Hotel" suddenly disappeared from the scene, and the frontmen Bill and Tom Kaulitz lived in Los Angeles. In an interview, the twins explained now why they have gone to the United States - and how they have lived there.
Two years ago, "Tokio Hotel" at the height of her career who - thanks to their hits "Through the Monsoon" and "Scream" had made them famous world wide. But suddenly, the four boys from Germany had disappeared from the scene - the frontmen Bill and Tom Kaulitz moved to the United States. In an interview they have now spoken about the reasons they had to leave Germany at that time. "We wanted a place where we can have more privacy. We felt comfortable in LA, and we lived there together with our four dogs," Bill Kaulitz said in an interview with "Bild.de".
With their band, the twins were constantly in public, they didv't have a retreat in that time. Only in Los Angeles, they found themselves again. "Eventually it got to the point where it was a bit too much and then we thought about it: Where can we ever go? and above all, we also wanted a place where we can finally be creative." said Tom Kaulitz.
Even on a new album, the two have worked in the United States. "“In LA we can simply record, relaxed, new music - that has brought us further, artistically. Some of this (songs) people will never hear, but some already." Tom continued.
Meanwhile, the Kaulitz brothers are back in Germany: Together with Dieter Bohlen and singer Mateo, they sit in the jury of the talent show "DSDS" - and feel comfortable in their new role. "We haven’t met Dieter before, but have been looking forward to do with him the anniversary season of DSDS. We got along really well right away and have a lot of fun." said Bill.
Soon, Bill and Tom Kaulitz will be on TV: In January 2013, "DSDS" will be broadcast.

The musicians Bill and Tom Kaulitz explained what kind of candidates they don't want to see at 'DSDS'.
Tom Kaulitz (23) shows no mercy when a candidate for 'Deutschland sucht den Superstar' has no talent, but simply just want to be famous.
The guitarist of 'Tokio Hotel' ('Durch den Monsun') sits with his twin brother Bill in th
e jury of the talent show. People who are just on the quick fame from are abhorrent to him: "Those who just want to be famous, really annoy me. Being famous is just a side effect, if someone is really good at something. If you can’t do anything, you should not even be famous." he said in an interview with the 'BILD' newspaper.
The brothers very early became really famous, but returned two years ago out of the limelight. They moved to Los Angeles, to find themselves.
"We have now tried two years, quite consistently, to hide. We wanted a place where we can withdraw to have some privacy. We feel comfortable in LA, live together with our four dogs." said Bill.
However, fans of 'Tokio Hotel' hope that they'll hear the new album of the boys soon. It may take some time, they are still working on the album, and Bill and Tom Kaulitz don't want to rush themselves.
