Biography:
Tom Kaulitz was born on September 1st, 1989, and along with his identical twin brother Bill grew up in Leipzig. His parents, Simone and Jörg Kaulitz, got
divorced
when he was seven years old. The mother moved with her two sons to her
new partner Gordon Trümper to Loitsche near Magdeburg. Bill and Tom
started at the age of seven to write their own songs. Their step-father,
who plays guitar in the rock band Fatun recognized their talent and
made them the duo called Black Question Mark.
Characteristics:
In 2001 Bill and Tom, Gustav Schafer and Georg Listing took on board that the brothers now supported musically: Tokio Hotel! In August 2005 they released their first single "Durch den Monsun" and the album "Schrei" was released at the end of September. A true Fan hysteria went off, especially the girls follow every step they make. The single shot straight to the top of the German and Austrian charts, the album fared similarly. The latter has sold over 1.5 million copies. At the end of February 2007 the second album "Zimmer 483". From March to November, the boys went to great European tour. The third album, "Humanoid" was released worldwide in October 2009 at the same time and brought Tokio Hotel huge international success. In recent years, they disappeared from the public eye. Now the Kaulitz Twins sit in the tenth season of DSDS jury panel.
